Important change to next week's SHS Band Backers General Meeting!  Due to middle school concert activities as well as the SHS Awards ceremony, the Band Backers general meeting has been moved from Wednesday May 14 to Thursday May 15, 7:30pm at the high school.  Please make a note of this change.

Don't miss this very important meeting.  We will be reviewing and accepting the 2008/2009 band backers budget as well as accepting nominations and voting on the new Band Backers Executive Board.

Important:  SHS Band Backers Executive Board Elections.  Many thanks to those who have given careful consideration and volunteered for one of our open positions.  We still have the critical position of Publicity Chairperson open.  Please consider sharing your talents in this important role.  Elections will be held at the May general meeting.  Follow the link for more information.  Please speak to one of the elections committee members if you are interested (Ken Leclair; Susan Miller; Julie Serano).

Almost here...An exciting 2008/2009 season is about to begin.  Mark your schedules for our first official event of the season - Mini-Band Camp(except for our diehard pit and color guard who have already started).  Camp will be held Saturday June 14, from 8:00am to 12:00pm.  New and returning students will be introduced to the new season, and parents will have an opportunity to gather important information as we start our march to another successful season.

Many thanks from the Band Backers for a successful Marching Band Uniform Fund Art Auction.   We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who participated in our uniform fund drive art auction.  The support of parents and the community was tremendous and helped us advance our goal for replacing our current "tired" uniforms.   We are 60% of the way there.
