When Band members are directly involved in soliciting
funds, the money they earn is held in trust in a “Student Points Account”
set up in their name. The “points” they earn can then be disbursed as
needed for things such as trips, band merchandise, uniforms, etc.

Corporate volunteer matching programs...your time
equals $$...Did you know that some companies will match
their employee's volunteer hours with cash contributions? Many of us will
invest a considerable amount of time volunteering in support of the marching
band -- especially during Music of the Knight. SHS Band Backers is a recognized
503c(3) non-profit organization. Ask your employer if they will match your
hours with a cash contribution.
