Holiday Pie Sales

Holiday Pie Sales (Pies, pastries and cookie dough) are a long standing traditional fund raiser for the Southington High School Marching Band. The Band Backers organize this activity by arranging the purchase of a variety of different products which students sell to friends, relatives, neighbors and co-workers.

The Pie Sale fund raiser is designed strictly for students to earn points. None of the funds generated go to the Band Backer general fund. Each pie costs a certain amount to purchase from our supplier.

This year we are pleased to partner with MCM Fundraising, the official fundraising coordinator for Lyman Orchards pies.  We are also introducing a new and well-known product for Christmas - Butter Braid pastries.

Orders are taken during the weeks leading up to Thanksgiving and Christmas.  Students will be instructed by their team captains when orders are due.  Students must keep the detailed order forms and turn in the completed summary return forms.  The summary form and money are returned to their team captain.   Please note that all products are uncooked and frozen.  They must remain frozen until delivered.  Pies must be promptly picked up and delivered during each of the specified Saturdays.

The pies sell for $14.  The braids and the cookie dough sell for $11.  Students must collect the money when you take the order.  Checks are to be made payable to the Southington Band Backers.  Students have an opportunity to earn between $4.00 and $6.00 for each item sold.  Also new this year, the top two sellers for each sales event will receive a $25 cash prize.

Please note that there are separate order forms for the Thanksgiving pie sale and the Christmas braids & cookie dough sale.  Should a customer order for Christmas at the same time as Thanksgiving, please have the customer make a check payable for each of the two orders.  Do not have the customer combine both orders on a single check.
