Southington High School Marching Band's annual "Music Of The Knight" competition has arrived. Join us on Saturday, October 17 as over 18 bands from Connecticut & Massachusetts join our middle schools and our award-winning high school marching band for a night of creative and talented field shows.
The show kicks off at 3:45pm with the presentation of the colors by the State of Connecticut Governor's Footguard, and the Depaolo & Kennedy middle school bands at 4:00pm. The show ends with our own marching band performing in exhibition and a festival presentation by the Central Connecticut Blue Devil marching band. VOLUNTEERS/PARENTS:

How are competitions scored? CLICK HERE VolunteersThe largest fundraising event of the year is Music of the Knight (MOTK), our home Marching Band competition. When properly executed (and weather permitting!) this event can raise enough money to cover more than half our expenses for the year. But, many volunteers will be needed to make this event a reality! Volunteers continue to be needed in all venues, but especially for food and concessions. We also need a couple more "fun loving" folks for the 50:50 raffle. Calls will be coming if you have not already signed up. But please don't wait. This is a little less than two weeks away. Please contact Pete Frega (621-7796; pjf0307@cox.net), MOTK chairman to add your name to the list. You can also contact Dean Barnes (637-0823; dean@nbt.bz) who is working in overdrive as our Food Committee chairman to volunteer for any of our food service activities. All hands on deck for this fun and exciting competition. Please consider volunteering ... with your help, we can continue to make MOTK one of the premier marching band competitions in the country. For more information, please contact Pete Frega: (621-7796 or pjf0307@cox.net). |
